Alcon Industries, Inc., was established as a single proprietorship in 1969 by the late Engr Alfonso S. Tan and his equally aggressive
wife Conchita Y. Tan. Eventually after years of hard labor and
perseverance and most of all GOD's blessings, it paved the way for its incorporation 20 years after in 1990 with their eldest son
David Johnson Tan at the helm. By this time the company
has outgrown itself and had since moved its entire company operations
to a good 25,000 square meters property located down south in
Mambaling, a few km away from the South Reclamation Project.
The company now prides itself of selling seashells and shell souvenir
as well as home decorative items out of seashells and other indigenous
materials all over the world. It exports its products to Australia, almost
all corners of Europe including Russia, the United States of America,
Canada, South Africa, Middle East, and even to Latin America.
All of the company's products are beautifully and artistically handcrafted
by a network of skilled artisans that the company maintains throughout
the past 39 years.
The company has a good size showroom that houses its varied shell
souvenir items and all buyers are welcomed to visit and see the extensive
lines it carries.
